Welcome to Interlochen Interlude on the Lake. Three distinct cottages on Duck Lake, a pleasant one-mile walk from the Interlochen Center for the Arts, are available for your enjoyment. All of our cottages are fully furnished and are right on Duck Lake. In the summer, sunbathe, enjoy a swim off of our dock in sandy Duck Lake or launch your boat at nearby Interlochen State Park. In the evenings, enjoy a campfire after an inspiring Interlochen Center for the Arts music camp concert. In the winter, ice fish on Duck Lake or ski at a nearby resort. We hope you will enjoy your vacation in the beautiful Interlochen/Traverse City Area.

Our properties -

• The Symphony - A charming historic cottage, On the bluff above the beach that sleeps up to 14. There are two bedrooms with full beds on the main floor. Upstairs there are two bedrooms each with two full beds. In between the upstairs bedrooms is an area with one full and one twin bed. The Symphony has two full baths.
• The Ensemble - A modern year-round house that sleeps up to 4-6. There are two bedrooms. One has a queen bed and the other a full/twin bunk bed. There are two sleeper sofas, one queen and one full in the living room. The Ensemble has one bath with a whirlpool tub.
• The Duet - A delightful studio-style beach house that sleeps 2 - 4, right on the sandy shore of Duck Lake. The duet has one full bed and a queen sleeper sofa. There is one bedroom.

Making Reservations - When requesting reservations, it will be helpful to have the following information ready: Your preferred date of arrival and length of stay, the number of adults and children and the property you prefer to rent. To avoid disappointment, we encourage you to make early reservations.

Policies and Procedures -< FONT FACE="Arial"> All properties are clean, comfortable and completely modern. Kitchens are fully equipped with silverware, dishes, pots, pans, coffee makers and grinders, some baking supplies, a charcoal grill and picnic tables.

Linens - We provide blankets, pillows, sheets, pillowcases and 2 bath, hand towels per guest.

Housekeeping Service - Your property will be clean when you arrive.

Please be advised that the properties do not have air conditioning.

We do not allow smoking.

Pets - We do not allow pets.

Deposit Requested - We respectfully request a 50% deposit to hold your reservation. Upon receipt of your deposit, we will promptly send written confirmation. The remaining 50% plus security deposit of  $150 to $300 will be due 30 days prior to the reservation date. It will depend on what cottage you are renting..  Broken Items - costs of any broken items will be deducted from your security deposit. The cleaning and damage deposit will be returned within 5 days after departure providing the property is in satisfactory condition and the inventory is complete.

Minimum Half Week Stay Required

• Weekly stays are usually Saturday to Saturday
• Half week stays are three night stays, usually Saturday-Tuesday or Wednesday-Saturday
• Monthly rentals will be considered on a case by case basis.

Forms of payment - We gladly accept cash or check; sorry we don't accept credit cards.

Cancellations - If notice of cancellation is received at least 45 days prior to reservation date the deposit is refundable less a $100.00 processing fee. Unfortunately no refunds are available less than 45 days prior to the reservation date.

Refunds - Refunds will not be made on lodging due to unfavorable weather, maintenance problems, disruption of utility service or early departure in an emergency. Every effort is made to keep each property and its equipment in good working order. Notify your hosts of any difficulty during your stay so that we can quickly dispatch the proper service personnel. We reserve the right to inspect the property and make such repairs as deemed necessary.

Locked Closets are maintained by the owners for their personal use. Please respect these locked areas.

Tenant Responsibilities - We will not be held responsible for any injury, accident, or loss to or of any persons or property for the duration of the rental period. Tenant responsibilities include respecting owner's property and treating it as your own. Except for 'normal wear and tear' all tenants agree to reimburse the owner for repairs or replacement necessary from damages during the tenancy, including any reasonable attorney fees if applicable.

Check-out - At check-out, tenants are expected to place all dishes in the dishwasher and start the dishwasher, (Ensemble only)Do the dishes.  Put trash bags in trash cans outside. Put all linens into pillow cases & leave in the kitchen, remove all personal items, lock all doors and windows and leave the keys in the lock box.

Telephones - Each property has a telephone that may be used free of charge for local calls only. We have installed long distance restrictions on their telephones. To make a long distance call tenants must use a calling card, credit card or call collect. If the above requirement is violated and long distance charges are incurred during your stay, you will be billed a $30.00 service charge in addition to the long distance charges.
